DETAILS

A curated pairing of two of our signature first-harvest matchas from Kagoshima, Japan — created for those who want to experience just how different matcha can taste from cultivar to cultivar.

Hikari — Tsuyuhikari, 25g
Bright, silky and beautifully layered. Hikari opens with a refreshing grapefruit-like lift, followed by soft roasted cashew notes, deep umami and a long, creamy finish. Naturally smooth with minimal bitterness and a vibrant emerald colour.

Okumidori — 30g
Rich, rounded and deeply comforting. Our Okumidori has a velvety texture with pronounced umami, gentle vegetal sweetness and a balanced sweet-nutty finish.

Together, they make the perfect tasting duo: Hikari for something bright and elegant; Okumidori for something rich and indulgent. Enjoy them side by side, discover your favourite, or choose your matcha according to your mood.

Both are made using first-flush leaves grown in Kagoshima and are JAS Organic, Halal and FSSAI certified.

Origin:

Grown in the fertile volcanic soils of Kagoshima, this matcha benefits from the region’s rich terrain, misty climate, and ideal tea-growing conditions. Kagoshima is known for producing exceptionally aromatic, vibrant teas with depth and complexity.

Limited Reserve:

Produced in small quantities and available for a limited time only as they are stone ground.

Why Choose Signature Matcha Duo

  • 100% Organic Matcha – Free from additives and pesticides, JAS (Japanese Agricultural Standard) Organic
  • Japanese Origin – First harvest leaves from Kagoshima
  • Rich in Antioxidants – Great for energy, focus, and detox
  • Notes – Fresh, fruity, nutty, and grassy on the nose, with a smooth, umami-rich and naturally sweet finish.
  • Trusted Certifications – JAS (Japanese Agricultural Standard), Halal (Japan Halal Foundation), and FSSAI (India) certified
  • Secure Packaging – Airtight, UV-protected tins to maintain freshness

Storage Tip:

Matcha is sensitive to heat, air, and light - especially in the Indian climate. To maintain its freshness, vibrant color, and full umami flavour, please refrigerate your matcha as soon as you receive it. Reseal tightly after each use and store in the fridge for maximum shelf life and taste!

HOW TO PREPARE

For a traditional matcha experience, follow these steps:

  1. Sift: 2-4 grams (about 1 teaspoon) of matcha powder into a bowl to remove any clumps.
  2. Add Water: Pour 60-70 ml of hot water (around 80°C) over the powder. Avoid boiling water to maintain its delicate flavors.
  3. Whisk: Use a bamboo whisk (chasen) in a zig-zag motion until frothy, creating a layer of fine bubbles on the surface.
  4. Milk of Choice: 150-200 ml of warmed/cold milk or milk alternative (Soy, Oat or Almond). Sweeten as desired (Honey, Maple Syrup, Vanilla Syrup)
  5. Enjoy: Sip and savor the vibrant umami flavor and smooth texture
