Sift: 2-4 grams (about 1 teaspoon) of matcha/hojicha powder into a bowl to remove any clumps.
Add Water: Pour 60-70 ml of hot water (around 80°C) over the powder. Avoid boiling water to maintain its delicate flavors.
Whisk: Use a bamboo whisk (chasen) in a zig-zag motion until frothy, creating a layer of fine bubbles on the surface.
Milk of Choice: 150-200 ml of warmed/cold milk or milk alternative (Soy, Oat or Almond). Sweeten as desired (Honey, Maple Syrup, Vanilla Syrup)
